We made it!

I thought I would be better at keeping everyone updated by having a blog - but it turns out I am pretty forgetful!  Maybe it is pregnancy brain . . . I will make a better effort at posting - which will hopefully include current belly pictures (because I will also make a better effort at getting dressed and made-up in the mornings for a decent photo).

On to a happier note:  Mike only has 2 exams left this week and then he will be done with his first year of law school!  Wow, it went by so quickly and we are soooo happy to have survived!  Although he would tell you otherwise, he has been incredibly outstanding this year.  He has studied his brains out and experienced stress like no other - but has managed to stay sane and didn't completely leave me a "law school widow " :)  He is my hero!  After this week he'll have some free time before starting work, so we're hoping to escape somewhere for a few days and relax.  Then we'll be blessed with lovely, less stress, 9 to 5 days.  Oh joy!

Easter and Week 27

Easter Sunday we drove down to Mike's mom's for dinner and an egg hunt for the kids.  It was so beautiful, warm, and sunny!  We love seeing all the blossoms and hearing the birds sing - hopefully this nice spring weather stays around and we have less rain than last year.  We had a great time visiting with family and eating yummy food :)

Mom with her parents.  They look so good!
Happy girl.  She loves her grandma :)

I'm also 27 weeks along this week.  The time has gone so quickly - only 13 weeks left!  So far, the third trimester has been good.  He moves around like crazy, usually in the evenings or when I lay down.  Mike loves to talk and read to him.  Last night we saw lots of kicks and movement in response to Mike's voice - its so fun to not only feel him move, but to see my belly move, too.
I still need to gain (hopefully) 10 more pounds.  I feel like I have plateaued and I haven't been able to put on any weight the last two weeks.  But I feel my belly trying to stretch out and know the baby will be working to pack on the fat these next few months, so that's encouraging :)  Here are some pics Mike took of my belly today.
